To create a simple, and modern palette we focused on whites and creams to create a simple and sophisticated aesthetic. Different textures were introduced to create a warm modernism that was both welcoming and elevated.
In the kitchen, we kept the bones of the bones of the space and replaced the kitchen fronts with white, sleek cabinetry. We added an island, wrapped in white marble, to create a seating area and an opportunity for additional storage.
In the corridor, we tapped into the background of one of the owners, and drew upon his Tanzanian heritage for a touch of inspired. We used the colors of the Masai Mara — bright red, purple and blues — to act as a contrast and accent to the remainder of the paired down space.
