Loft Gut Renovation | Dumbo, Brooklyn

Through a carefully selected series of interventions, we breathed new life into this 1990s condo loft conversion.

First to go were the standard issue wood floors, which we replaced with wide, long planks in whitewashed oak.

The powder room gained a shower and a generously sized console sink for guests to enjoy. Miniature herringbone marble mosaic tile and handmade ceramic field tiles provide pattern and texture while adhering to the crisp, clean color scheme. Matte black plumbing fixtures and accessories offer contrast, as do the abalone-colored walls.

Whitewashed oak and lacquer radiator enclosures provide storage beneath the oversized windows. The cesarstone top is an easy to maintain surface for thriving house plants.

In the kitchen, cabinet fronts were refinished and new hardware installed. Floating oak shelves and a new hood take centerstage. The new undermount sink and faucet are set within a silestone eternal calacatta gold slab.
